How To Keep Your Office Free From Coronavirus?
As soon as the government started unlocking certain services, offices began reopening. Though we are allowed to get out of homes and work, the virus is still active. We have not won over it yet.
Before switching to your normal office routine, it is important to ensure that your office is virus-free. There are a few steps that everyone can take to keep coronavirus out of the workplace.
Find Out The Potential Risks
Several risk assessments are available to tell you what are the potential risk factors in your office. From your office printing machine to corners and doors, the risk assessment will tell you what can be the risk factors in the office.
The assessment will give you results which you need to share with everyone who is a part of the office. When everyone knows the rules, you can win it faster.
Stock On Handwash And Hand Sanitizers
Two of the most important things to fight with coronavirus are handwash and hand sanitizer. Keep enough stock of these two in important parts of your office and encourage your staff to use them. Now, ink and cartridges are not the only supplies you need on a monthly basis. Add these two items to your essentials list.
Follow Social Distancing Norms
The government and health organizations have shared several social distancing norms. Make sure you follow all of them.
- First of all, get interesting prints and paste them everywhere to remind us about the norms.
- Maintain the 2-meter distance. Make sure the workstations are placed far enough.
- Keep a one-way entry so that everyone entering and going out could be tracked.
- Set an appointment system for visitors.
- Ask your guard to check the temperature before letting anyone in. whoever is coming inside must also be following all the protective guidelines.
Work With Lesser People
During the lockdown, many offices realized that a number of their employees can work efficiently from home. Now, don’t force everyone to come.
Those who can work from home must be allowed to visit only when required. Also, divide employees into batches and call them alternate weeks to prevent your workplace from getting crowded.
Use Screen Guards
If there is no possibility of maintaining a 2-meter distance due to space problems, encourage the use of sneeze guards.
Maintain Hygiene
Hygiene maintenance is important. The office should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every day to wipe off any signs of the virus. Increase the cleaning frequency of crowded areas and stuff which is touched more often such as printers, ink cartridges, copy machines, etc.
Set up guidelines for using the toilet and water system. Offer hand drying machines or paper towels to keep everything hygienic. You should also stock on gloves and face masks to ensure minimum contact.
If, unfortunately, any of your employees catch the virus, set up a thorough cleaning session. Don’t panic about it. Generate awareness among employees to maintain positivity.
Work is important, but your life is priceless. Stay healthy, strong, and aware. Follow the above tips and work with all the protective measures in a corona free office.
